    Default Future plans of LTC

Thought i would outline the plans i now have for the future of LTC.

As i am going to be starting a full time job in 5 weeks, my time will become more limited, so here is what i plan. I will continue to work on refining LTC 2.3 and improving the campaign game and the battle ai. Whilst im doing that i will work a little towards LTC 3.0. As Kingdoms will features some of the factions i was going to include in it, im going to delay the 3.0 release until after Kingdoms. I aim to include the following in 3.0:

    New Factions:
Lithuania, Novgorod(replacing Russia), Norway, Ireland, possibly another Americas faction, possibly Kingdom of Jerusalem if i push the start date back a bit.
Extended Map: Map extended northwards to include Norway, and new regions will be added to some parts of the map.
New Units: Some units from Kingdoms for existing will be transferred over into 3.0, and possibly other new units.
New features Such as boling oil transferred to 3.0 if Kingdoms does not add them to the Grand Campaign.

Whilst im working on 2.4/2.5 etc. and waiting for Kingdoms to come out i'll be working on possibly new unit textures, and new interfaces etc.

When Kingdoms is out, 3.0 will be released in 2 versions. 1 which will add the above to the Grand Campaign for those who do not get Kingdoms, and another version which will add the above to the Grand Campaign, and also work the LTC magic on the 4 Kingdoms campaigns.

I am going down this route as it is the best for me in terms of the time i have.

Trust me to make an obvious error, post edited to show that i will be adding Norway, not Denmark as they're already in the game.

Congrats on your new employment :-)

Dare I ask if the new map will include Iceland?

No not that far North, it's just being extened Northwards enough to give enough room for Norway.

employment!? Quit your job and work on our mod!!!
Oh but the job i've got is very good, not something i want to quit.

yep i agree with this. Northern factions were very important in medieval europe... and im wondering lusted. can u please remake the loading screens? its just so ugly. i vote for the defaults or some normal loading screems. I dont like the 50px feather creative (merging map with battles) art.

If you are going to include a new NA faction, there are a number of unique major tribes and nations that were in power throughout the gulf states region that won't be in the upcoming Kingdoms expansion, including the Cherokee, Creek, Choctaw, Seminole, and Chicasaw. The Cherokee in particular were excellent at adapting to and direclty competing with white settlers for trade, which eventually caused President Andrew Jackson to forcibly move them to reservations in Oklahoma at the request of white traders.

Too bad. I offered a North America faction because the way I see it, the map has a good amount of North American territory already and you seem to anticipate extending it even further north along with the European map. With a fair portion of the east coast of South America and the Caribbean providing space for the Aztecs, tossing in a small colony or two of North American tribes would be pretty cool. Hell, there's actually a good chance that you could use some portions of the other Native factions due in Kingdoms to better fill out its roster.

    Ireland?!

There are a lot of kingdoms that played an important part in history, like for example Castile, which led and won the reconquista against the moors (although by that time the king of castile won ownership of spain through marriage to queen isabella)

some important factions with big roles in history, should be interesting :>

Yeah people seem to be missing this part of my post:

I am going down this route as it is the best for me in terms of the time i have.
So im using factions from Kingdoms as it helps me a lot in terms of time. Im not adding brand new factions completely from scratch, i just don't have time to do that. So that's why im adding Novgorod(to replace Russia), Lithuania, Norway, Ireland and Kingdom of Jerusalem. All factions from Kingdoms.

Oh, and vanilla Spain is an amalgamation of Leon and Castille.
