    Default Campaign Map Screenshot

I can't find a picture of the IB campaign map.
I just dont follow the progress of every single RTW and M2TW mod.
Every mod should have a sticky with a screen of the map.

what aspect of the campaign map do u want to see? regions? ground types? I could include that in the soon to be available payer's guide. However, a 'screenshot' of the campaign map in-game w/out FOW would give too much away for people who want to play w/ FOW turned on

Just a screen shot that is not a battle with that little map in the corner,
    with a little more detail.

Or some kind of map where I can see which factions start out where.
It doesn't need to reveal a lot of details.

I really think this should be a sticky on the subforum of every mod.
Its hard to find something out about IB if you are new to it.
So it is a mod for BI, and it does what...?

I think the batle editor map would be perfect here

u can go through the factions selection in campaign, w/c will reveal the start locations of the factions

am working on that, unfortunately I do not have a lot of time what w/ having to write a dissertation, take care of a newborn baby, and look for a proper job.

previous versions had units screen shots, maps etc but in my curent situation time spent doing that is simply nonexistent

I meant here in the forum, before you get the game.

I understand that, and I am very grateful for your work.
I certainly dont want to pressure you.
I dont think I would do anything like providing a mod when I had all that to worry about.
It would just be a lot easyer to choose which mod I want to use if there was
some short description and a screenshot of the campaign map in the forum.

I have already decideed with IB, because it seems to be very popular.
But I still don't know what it actually is about.

(I'm getting BI tomorrow, then I will be able to test IB.)

u got a point there, I will be doing something along this line but maybe a few days to start it

80% of my leisure time is spent modding the game, 30% in the forums (I manage to steal the 10% from somewhere else )

believe me, that has crossed my mind

u got a point. IBFD was initially more or less 'THE FIX' for Barbarian Invasion so most people played it knowing what BI is and what to expect, I guess by now it has gone so far beyond that...

But I still don't know what it actually is about.
in a nutshell: its about the German Invasion of Rome, they were driven west by the Huns and they caused the fall of the Roman Empire, or at least the Western half (the East will remain for a thousand or more years as the Byzantine Empire (a modern name, actually they didn't call themselves that)
by 410 AD the Visigoths are at the gates of Rome (after sacking and pillaging their way through Ggreece and the Balkans), the Vandals, Alans, and Swabians (in IBFD Vandals only since they worked together anyway), have sacked their way through France and have arived in Spain. A usurper Emperor has conquered all of France (bringing along w/ him the last remnants of the Roman Legions from Britain), frther east the Hunnic storm is in its ascendancy (it will however be at its peak much later during the rule of Atilla) displacing whole peoples (the aforementioned Visigoths, the Vandals&Alans, the Burgundii, it is the time of the Nibelungenleid, of the great Germanic hero Siegfried ... Ill leave the Sassanians and the Hephthalites for later

(I'm getting BI tomorrow, then I will be able to test IB.)
    hope u have fun

Thanks for all the fast replies.
I just got BI, and installed IB. But I got some problem, read about it here:
    http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showt...22#post1742222

I just wanted to say stat I am a german and I don't agree on the germanic tribes being driven west.
It's a pretty widespread belief, but not entirely true.
At that time the roman empire was the strongest military power and it would be a strange thing to be driven into the lands of the strongest military power.

The germans went west because it was warm and nice there and because they had heared storys about the easy roman way of life.
