    CAE uses the vanilla map.

I like the big map from sb2ean better than the vanilla. Since most of our action is focused in Europe, Africa and Asia, what about using a map that does not include the Americas? The EuropaXL map that lordyu has updated looks good and I have merged it into a few other mods for my own use.

Either way I like the additional provinces.

Thanks for a great mod no matter what you decide to do.

Well,I am against taking out the Americas because invading americas and Aztecs is a great feature of the game. But sb2ean's map includes it too

Yeah, I think you're right, to second you - It'll be fun to conquer the Americas with Wallachia.

Sounds good - Americas and Aztecs are fine with me - I just like the new factions that you have created and look forward to additional ones. The extra provinces will help spread out the factions.

    Keep up the great work!

I see thoscme,my current concern is now there are 3 new factions in total there will be lots of rebel provinces, but when the provinces will be given to their owner factions (historically) that problem will be lessened.

    hi @ all

i wouldnīt change to the big map (like in Deus lo vult mod) sorry i canīt tell who made this map...

    1. the big map can slow the game down, after 100 turns you get loading times over a minute (i have 2 gb ram)!!

    2. you easily loose the overview. seriously its sometimes hard enough with vanilla-size map.

i would prefer the vanilla-size with more regions and provinces... this would definateley keep up the fast(er) gameplay than in other mods and i think this is more fun and at least more challenging.

    please keep this concept.

my problem with the bgmaps is that they make the dimensions bigger (for example "spain is bigger then in vannilla") but the map still covers the same part of the map.
so instead of that i would like to see a bigmap which doesnt change the original parts of the game, but adds more part of the world.
for example you could stretch the map to east to include factions like Mongols and timurids as normal, playeble factions...

I thought it was mentioned in other threads that the slowness was due to the number of armies and settlements that are on the map not the map itself. If you expand the regions you are going to increase the time it takes to process so many different individual actions. I still would like to see more regions since it will give us more time to develop the economy before we are attacked by opposing factions.

It seems now we have a lot of opinions based on whether to implement Bigmap to CAE or not..:hmmm:

Larger map and move provinces to conquer is great. the actual 'size' doesn't matter so much to me, just as long as there are more things to sack and conquer.
