Thanks man I'll try that.....Once I reinstall.... damn VISTA

Why do Garamantine Infantry attack with the wrong side of their spear?

For the Indo-Saka reform, do you have to hold all of the cities you listed, or just one of them, or one of the last two? The description was vague on this.

I am not sure if this is the right place to ask this but - I have just installed EB1.1 and the shortcut is set to the main EB folder so it loads up the normal game rather than EB - how do I change the shortcut so it loads up EB?

Have you tried changing the target line?

    Game of the Fates
Mod of the week on hold -- I've played nearly every RTW mod out there.
BOYCOTT THE USE OF SMILEYS! (Okay, just once)
Antiochos VII...last true scion of the Seleucid dynasty...rest in peace, son of Hellas.
I've returned--please forgive my long absence.

I thought of doing that but I dont know what to change it to, currently its:

    "E:\Program Files\Activision\EB1.1\RomeTW.exe" -show_error

I take it your not using the trivial script then. Anyhow, you need to add -mod:eb to your target line. So it looks like this RomeTW.exe"-mod:eb

Indeed, use the trivial script that should be installed under you Start Menu, or add "-mod:eb" to you RTW shortcut.

Just a question on Celtic Reforms: how many new units do these reforms allow and by "collectively", do you mean all the factions listed (Casse, Arverni, Aedui) must build the requirements or do I just need to build them only myself if I play them?
"Romans not only easily conquered those who fought by cutting, but mocked them too. For the cut, even delivered with force, frequently does not kill, when the vital parts are protected by equipment and bone. On the contrary, a point brought to bear is fatal at two inches; for it is necessary that whatever vital parts it penetrates, it is immersed. Next, when a cut is delivered, the right arm and flank are exposed. However, the point is delivered with the cover of the body and wounds the enemy before he sees it."

    - Flavius Vegetius Renatus (in Epitoma Rei Militari, ca. 390)

It means if you add up the total owned by all three factions.

Why is that? I don't see why all three nations need to be organised for any of them to
    receive the unit upgrade..

Actually, it doesn't matter who the builds the required structures. As long as the Casse, Aedui and Averni together have constructed 4 L3 markets, the Bondsmen reforms are triggered.

Oh. So if one nation builds all of them the reforms still happen, but for all three?

Yes. I presume this was considered an acceptable abstraction since the Celtic world was held together by strong trading links, despite its penchant for petty raiding and tribal warfare. Military and social developments travelled quickly.

y wont the hayasdan pan-caucasus reform happen?

i upgraded armavir to a large city, and built street of the merchants, paved roads, public baths, and town defenders. i still have the alliances resource, not the homeland one, and its been two turns since i built all those.

    am i missing something?

edit: also, i was running the eb script when i completed all those buildings. other than the odd reload before a battle, ive been running the script pretty much for the entire campaign

The Alliance resource doesn't go away. But if you check further down the list you will also find the homeland resource. Destroy the government building and you will find you can build the top level government.

Wow. And to think how many times I quit my Hayasdan campaigns in frustration of not seeming to get the reforms
when the darn homeland doesn't replace the alliances resource!
