Campaign map textures

I notice the campaign map uses several textures from RTW, no offense but it really doesn't look very nice to me. Is there any way I can put the M2 ones back in?

Are you kidding, those textures is a huge step away from the disney land look. I simply love it, all though I would love to see something smilar to Knights Of Honor or the first M:TW.

Go to C:\Programas\SEGA\Medieval II Total War\DLV_ext\data\terrain\aerial_map and delete the folders.Those textures is from RTW I dont like it to i remove some folders in this Path and I have the MTW2 textures now, i just dont understand why they use those textures...

This caused a CTD for me, how do you actually get rid of these textures?

Personally I think repmans new map textures are getting better and better with every new version. When I first saw the new winter textures I was pleasantly surprised by how good they were.

@kevincompton,

Delete the data\terrain folder. Then go to the data\world\maps\base folder and delete the map.rwm. Next time you load up the game it will rebuild the map with basic textures.

Ah perfect thanks man! I will try this when I get home.

As for his textures I suppose they are ok but the vanilla ones are perfecto. I do get the whole performance thing however, its just not an issue with my system.
