does stainless steel start with a new batch file or does it overwrite medieval 2?

the mod uses its own .bat file and doesn't overwrite anything...

Thanks. BTW how did you get great bombards to use stakes. I have been trying to get artillery to use stakes before battle, but I can't figure out. Great work on the mod!

I don't think the SS 3.2 installer creates a new batch file for you. Maybe it's just me...I can't find the bat file

Actually the Stainless_Steel.bat and Stainless_Steel.cfg files come with the Stainless Steel 3.0 installer.

However, due to a stupid mistake, I had to upload a new version of the 3.2 patch and this also contains these files...
