    Default LTC 2.3 addons

Just wanted to break out form the old thread on add-ons to list ONLY those add ons that folks have gotten to work with LTC2.3/o1.2.

Please include a link to the relevant thread on the add-on, the add-on version number and, where possible, instructions for implementation of the add-on if something other than a standard install is required (also such as where it would overwrite LTC 2.3 files)

It should probably be noted here that the Character Names Project Add-on is already included with LTC v 2.3. However, in the future I will update the add-on for LTC; perhaps before Lusted updates LTC itself. In that case, those interested in historically correct character names should keep an eye on our forum. Leaving feedback will help me and the others improve this add-on for future releases with LTC.

Too lazy right now to post links to everything, but I use my addon (naturally), the BBB addon, and burrek's textures.

Ultimate AI 1.4 was released for MTW2 1.2 today. It's said to be compatible with mods, but there needs to be some manual merging of the descr_strat file. That is way over my head as I have zero modding sensibility.

We learn by doing! It is very easy - all you have to do is copy one (cleary marked) section at the bottom of the UAI descr_strat and paste onto the LTC descr_strat. Then just make sure that the ai description for each faction (example: trader henry) matches those in UAI--just open the two descr_strat files and visually compare. It takes 4 minutes, tops.

I uploaded the modified LTC descr_strat.txt and the required UAI files for you. I changed the AI labels, profiles and the initialization data - all other LTC changes I did not touch. Copy the file to the landstoconquer/data/world/maps/campaign/imperial_campaign folder of the LTC mod and from the Ultimate AI copy the descr_campaign_ai_db.xml, descr_faction_standing.txt, and descr_diplomacy.xml to your landstoconquer/data folder.

You should also know, that the bahavior of the Ultimate AI in the LTC environment might be a lot different from the UAI mod environment, as LTC uses mostly the vanilla settings for starting gold, income, and other settlement mechanics.

    hi all,

one question concerning new skins ... is there a compatible mod which reskins some factions ? What is about the Burrek-mod ? Is it compatible with 1.2 and LTC 2.3 ?

any new fresh link to a new version ?

Burrek's Unique Europeans skins (Early and Late) work with 1.2, as does his blood and dirt textures. Check the Burrek's Skins thread in the Mod Threads section. You do not need to place his Unit Models and Texture Overlays folders in the Main/Vanilla Data folder as in the instructions because 1.2 now supports textures in mod folders.

Burrek's Knights and Knaves does not currently work with 1.2.

    thx Froggie5,

however i still don't know how to install all the burreks mods now with patch 1.2 ?

And what about the Polish Haraldy mod which was released later ? Why is it a separate mod ?

I use burrek's skins with LTC 2.3. Just copy the contents of burrek's folders into the corresponding folder for LTC. It's easy and works fine.

Is it a fun way to play? Funner than vanilla?

    thx deRougemont,

I managed to run all of the burrek's patches but one ... the blood and dirt patch 0.91 - I have put it in the data folder in LTC 2.3 and no results in the custom battle - the guys are getting all red like in vanilla ? I have put it directly into the data folder in MTWII and still nothing happens ?? Do I miss an insider ? or what is wrong ?

Is there a way to use the blood and dirt patch with LTC 2.3 ? Does anybody use it at all ?

I wanna know what differences UAI makes to ltc 2.3. It would be interesting as UAI was what i was originally using before 1.2. Main reason why i switched to ltc was because of unit balance.

If you use these files with your LTC installation, then you will have both: Unit balance from LTC and campaign settings and diplomacy from UAI.

These posts should reflect what mods work with the latest LTC and Patch. Post what mods you have gotten to work, and the steps needed to do so.

I used it in 2.2 with the unofficial 1.2 patch with success. You had to put it in the main M2TW/data folder and then edit the landstoconquer.cfg with the [io] file_first = true modifier. At least that's how it worked for me...i have yet to install the official 1.2 patch, but i'd be willing to bet it works like that as well.

Make sure to put it in the landstoconquer/data folder rather than the M2TW/data folder.
