Yeah, my internet loads up fine, but when I start a multiplayer game and click "Multiplayer" it starts to lagg A LOT. Any help??? Rep to all who do, I wanna pway...

go into your game settings, and set your net settings to match your current home speed.


also try to defragment your pc



but i need to know, is it pc lag, or internet lag? and which games?

sounds to me like a firewall related issue - using any?


[Edit]: Also, the fragmetation of your hard-drive might slow down loading and search times and defragmenting your HD might allways be a good idea since you've obviously never done that, but I can assure you 99.9% secure that it has nothing to do with the problems you're accutely experiencing.

[edit2:] In case it's possible, alt+tab out of your game, start task manager (ctrl+alt+del), go to the processes tab and click on CPU, so it shows the processes running in order of CPU load. Whatever it is, except the game youre running is the culprit. Most liekly the firewall, Iexplore or the game itself (firewall related, so if you uninstall that, it will work). BTW: you have uninstalled your expired copy of that anti-virus program you're running - haven't you?
