What do I look for in headsets?
Ok so I am thinking of buying a headset, preferably a USB one, but since there are so many, and all the people who I have asked all point me to different ones and tell me they are amazing, I am kind of confused as to which one to invest in. It's really purely for playing Counter-Strike: Source for scrims and such. So I was wondering what exactly do I look for in headphones to tell if they are good/good value for money or not?
Is there a particular feature which will tell me if they're good or not?
Can anyone point me (link me) to specific ones, please? UK sites only please, and my budget is about £30-35 cause gotta allow for delivery. I suppose I could stretch to £40. The headset must also have a mic boom
thanks in advance.

Re: What do I look for in headsets?
I have Logitech Precision Gaming, it's quite OK, good sound and a mic that doesn't have any background noise when properly used (you can adjust it). The mic also have somekind of noise filter, not sure how it works though. It costed only 30€ when I bought it (over 1 year ago), so it should be quite cheap (is it like 20 pounds? The price has probably fallen down too...)
Only things is that it has separate inputs for audio out and in, so it's not USB like you want...
EDIT: LOL, just realised that Kingtiger posted it, I thought he only posted a link to Logitech's section of headsets...
Anyway, you can probably get it cheaper than 25£, the manufacturers price (if they announce anything) is usually midprice, often you can find it at a sale somewhere...

Why would you want USB?
Can you even connect a USB headset to a sound card?

Re: What do I look for in headsets?
I loved my old logitech USB headset. Its pure digital, pure noise cancellation, the only thing broadcast are the sounds in the games, no background clutter or white noise at all.
Now I have a headset that uses jacks but it also has force feedback for low decibel sound and vibration that runs off a USB port.
For somebody who's not going bleeding edge with their sound card its nice. Or you can buy a pair with a external sound card, much more money though.
I recommend these, cheap, well made and quite popular, for a reason. My buddy owns a pair and they are just as nice as my $150 pair.
