Installation problem?

Hello. I have a problem when i try to play the most recent version of your spectacular mod, LTC 2.3. To start off, I had the version of 2.1 and and the 1.1 patch. I just recently installed the official patch of 1.2. I then restarted my computer and downloaded LTC 2.3. Note, I did not get 2.2. I then proceeded to install 2.3. Before starting, it warned that some files were write-protected and asked if I wanted to overwrite them. I clicked ok and everything seemed to go smoothly. After it finished installing with no other programs running, I tried to start it up and I did not restart my computer. It got to the first loading screen when it went black and there popped up an eternal ourglass. I pressed escape and it diverted back to the desktop. I tried once more with the same result. I restarted my computer and tried again, to no avail.

So that is my predicament and any help or comments are appreciated.

You need to uninstall M2TW completely, install again, install patch 1.2 (only!) and then install LTC 2.3

That really sucks! But if it is necessary.....I guess I don't really have a choice. Thanks for your help, now I'm off to do some installations.......

I already downloaded the 1.2 patch. But how do I know access those files and install it into the game? I'm not very experienced so please use easy steps if you can help me

So I reinstalled vanilla medieval and now need to know how to install 1.2 which I already downloaded. Any help is again appreciated.

So if we had the 1.2 unofficial patch, do we need to do a clean install again of m2tw or just clean off 2.2 of LTC and install the official 1.2 patch, then 2.3 of LTC.

You would need to reinstall if you have the unofficial patch, installing over it would cause problems.

Gaius Julius, just run the patch andit will install itself.
