Possible Roles;
You are a civ. Normal townie.

You are an evil moderator. Mafia.

You are Manstein. Cop.

You are tBP. Doctor.

RULES
- No editing your post, the host is allowed to.
- Corpses don't talk, do not post after you have been killed.
- This is a closed communication game. Do not talk outside of this thread unless your role specifies you can.
- All votes must be put in bold and red, if not they will be ignored.
- No effectivley quoting or poorly paphrasing what I have said out of the thread- sum it up in your own words. Also, don't bother asking somthing like 'what's the second word in your e-mail' and such.
- When the target number of votes is reached, the player voted for is lynched, even if somone unvotes.
- Keep night talking to a minimum.
- I reserve the right to dish out any warnings and modkills as I see fit, so don't break the rules.
- Rules are subject to have things added in/edited/reworded if I remember stuff.
- Golden rule: have fun.

P.S. Please don't ask to be a certain role - due to the nature of the game (read the tutorial) it makes it quite hard for me to assign you a role.

Just read the rules as I've never played this version of the game before. (Cop's and Doctor's are unknown to me).

I have some suggestions:

1. The rules say that the game starts with day and lynching. How can the townies lynch someone if no crime has been committed? I'd suggest that we skip that and start directly with night. Furthermore we could also prevent the cop and doctor from doing their things, but that can be discussed...

2. Do you always require a >50% majority for lynching? Isn't most votes (ie 3, 2 and 1; the one with 3 votes get lynched) enough?

A basic overview of Mafia;

You discuss who you think is scum, and tell me who you think should be lynched by voting. You must try to pick up on other people's comments, and try and get someone who you believe is scum lynched. Pick up on scum tactics like asking people to bandwagon vote someone or making lots of repeats of the same observation on the same person. Remember, the scum are trying to get a townie lynched, whereas all townies are trying to Lynch scum.

On the first day there is often a mistaske, but since we have an extra player this won't be too bad for town.

And I'm going to let you discuss until there is a 50% vote.

Majority voting allows the players to control the progress of the day phase - the day doesn't end until a majority is reached, so suspects can be pressured by leaving him one vote from a lynch, then pausing while he explains himself. In games with limited time periods, the candidates with the most votes is lynched. The 1st method allows for more control, the 2nd method allows a game to continue even if players are absent for a while. Mini-mafias like this function well with majority voting, but that won't work in Mafia games with 20+ players (onesuch I played in had 55 players).
