    Default New Model always hold secondary weapon

    Hello,
    When I give a model in 3dsmax a new weapon and select a bone for it, than the model always hold this weapon, no matter if in comabt with primary, or secondary weapon.
    Just like this:


    All original models has no skin, but when I want export the model with a new weapon, without weight than an errormassage tell me that I must set a bone for parent.
    But when I weight it, than the weapon is always hold by the model.

    Can somebody help me please ?

    You actually need to call the weapons primary_weapon and secondary_weapon in 3ds max. Then in the export_descr_unit file add the correct text accordingly.

    Look at a RTW unit as an example to make sure you do it right.

    You don't need to weight weapons or shields, at the top of the 3D max window select Graph editors, and then 'new schematic view', hi-lite the weapon and then link it to the correct bone.
