Default Blitzin. I want the AI Blitzin

Is there any way for you to remodifiy the AI for faster mroe agressive warfare using bigger stacks vs smaller targets.
Too many times ive seen sole generals besiege an fortress with spear militias. Too often have i found the enemie's stacks wandering aimlessly around almsost empty settlements. Too often have i seen small detachments going out from a stack to besiege a city; With the full stack only 1 square away from any potential battle situation.

Whatsup with that AI afterall? The only competent war AI ive ever seen in this game is the Mongolians. They love ot duke out in uneven battles. Often sending 2 stacks at one target for "Fun".

    And another suggestion:
Up the settlement population to a few hundred thousand at Huge city level. The settlements are afterall representing the capital district of the province. 250.000 in population is the max. This also makes sacking and looting worthwhile in metropolitan cities

I can't make the AI more intelligent like that. Modders can tell the AI when they should go to war, get into battle footing, or defensive footing. We can't make them do specific things like that.

Mongols are different because they use hardcoded Horde AI.

Population has too big an effect on the economy. It grows out of control at those sizes and makes gameplay unbalanced. I used to have it like you suggest and changed it.

Aah... Did you try to double the health and farming benefits. And at the same time use those buildings to lower income?

There isn't a way to lower income using a building. You can't make a building have a maintenance cost as far as I know.

Economy tweaking is very difficult because the only thing that subtracts money, are Units and Buildings, both of which are one shot deals.

The only way to make a maintenance cost type thing is to artificially script it.
That wouldn't show up in the Economy window though.

I think most of the income comes from the farming trade. Public health does not have an impact on income as far as i can tell.

I tried adding 1 000 000 inhabitants to Frankfurt in my TLR campaign. It only gave 2 000+ in income compared to before. Have you thought about having buildings adding hidden resources?

Perhaps you could use corruption as a cost of running a city as well as its current role

Unfortunately corruption is hard coded. It is based on the distance from the capitol. I can't change that.

You can edit the corruption modifier in descr_settlement_mechancis.txt, as well as many other things that influence income.

You can make corruption higher, but not change what it's based on. It's still a factor of (distance from capitol - law in city).

I can't make corruption increase for other reasons which is what I think he meant.

Population has a big effect on both Tax Income and Trade Income.

It would be ok if it just increased tax income, but trade income blows up too.

A city with 50k people will have each trade route making 300 florins. It's too much.

Also, if I reduce the Trade modifier, then the trade income screen is messed up. Thats what I used before to reduce this effect.
