When I recruit a general, I leave him in Arretium with my faction leader for a few years before giving him command of a legion. What effect do other generals/family members have on his stats and traits while he's sitting in the city?

Also will his starting stats be different depending on who the governor is in the city he is recruited? I once recruited 4 generals on the same turn in a city with a 1 loyalty general, and they all have 1 or 0 loyalty. Was this coincidence or did the governor have that effect?

Honestly I never tested that, I would say its a fluke, but there are alot of Hardcoded thigns in RTW, I dont recall any triggers that are effected for generals based on Family, but there may be a hardcoded thing? Best thing to do is test this out and let me know, I am curious, I do know tehre are triggers for buildings and such for traits and some for FAMILY members but not for generals that I KNOW OF?

Generals won't get any traits or good/bad stats just by sitting in a city with other family members or generals. They can only get the loyalty rings back if the governor is also loyal

They can only get good/bad traits and stats from buildings in the city or by managing a city or fighting battles. I have had generals with 1 or no loyalty rings in cities governed by 5/6 star governors with loads of good attrributes

There is no correlation between loyal governors = loyal generals... instead it is randomly attributed during the creation of a general, however stats and traits may derive from good city buildings and/or their fathers, I think
