    Line 2477, you should erase:
    Code:
        <UI piece>new_game_quick_battle
          <identifier>UIP_QUICK_BATTLE_BUTTON</identifier>
          <Parameters>
            <x>256</x>
            <y>381</y>
            <width>512</width>
            <height>38</height>
            <UI text>UI_NEW_GAME_QUICK_BATTLE
              <font_id>arial_split_CAF</font_id>
              <align>centre</align>
            </UI text>
            <tool_tip_id>UI_NEW_GAME_QUICK_BATTLE_INFO</tool_tip_id>
          </Parameters>
          <object_id>empty_push_button</object_id>
        </UI piece>

    Hi, sorry for the necro, been trying to look in the file but no luck so far.
    Is it possible to make one (or more) provincial campaigns appear on the main menu (in a similar way to "son of mars")?
    And if so, how?

    Thanks!

    Not possible as far as I know, and I did look into it at one point, because the two entries seem to be somehow linked to specific folders but that link, and whether or not it could be changed or not I was never able to find. You might be able to add a third one by seeing what the difference is between BI and RTW since the default campaign in BI is linked to a different folder.

    Hey,

    Could someone tell me how to rename one of the buttons? Tried many times with failure.

    Thanks.

    Any. For example, changing "Options" to "Clagius".

    And another thing; I tried to insert a new backdrop like it is guided in this tutorial, but nothing happend I only saw original RTW menu screen.. could you tell me if I missed to do something?

    I added my new picture to textures folder, changed pathways.. everything.

    Thanks.

    buttons should be through data\text\menu_english - change the entry to the right of the brackets. Example:
    {UI_MAIN_MENU_SINGLE_PLAYER} SINGLE PLAYER

    Regarding the backdrop, you just need to change the backdrop.tga in Data\menu\Textures, and remember to add "-nm" to your RTW shortcut to disable the background movies. This works for me

    WRT the text, what Gig said, every button you see in Rome.lnt has a text entry associated with in in text/meun_enlish.txt, just change the right-side stuff, nothing inside the brackets.

    As for the backdrop, you can get rid of the video without the -nm command, simply by getting rid of the fmv_backdrop element:
    Code:
        <UI piece>fmv_backdrop
          <identifier>UIP_EMPTY_ART</identifier>
          <Parameters>
            <x>0</x>
            <y>0</y>
            <width>1024</width>
            <height>768</height>
          </Parameters>
          <object_id>fmv_backdrop</object_id>
        </UI piece>

    ok so now I have moved every menu link sorta things, like singleplayer, multiplayer ect, also when you go into singleplpayer and you get that list I have re arranged those aswell, and for options,

    however after doing those I have two sections to re-arrange, they are load and multiplayer, so I have looked everywhere in the rome.lnt file and I just can't seem to find those sections,
    so I am looking
    load: load campaign game, load custom battle, load battle replay
    Multiplayer: online battles, lan battles, change cd key#
    I need to find those, so I can get rid of the vinalla layout,
    also in the rome.lnt file I have tried cntrl-F and searched but nothing relevant to what I want
    any help would be appreciated

    Search for <lpage>.

    I have <lpage>multiplayer at line 5677, and <lpage>load_custom_battle with the rest following at line 12538.

    also for the load one, the ones you have found are the names inside those links,

    for example this is what I want to re-arrange, however the ones you pointed out were inside those links, which is not what I want,

    yes!!! thats the one +rep for your awesome help, (gotta spread the rep, before I can give you some)

    however there is one more thing

    earlier I added that flame onto the menu, on page 1 post by Ramashan
    So I was wondering, to have two flames, do I have to create a copy of the flame video, re-name it differently,
    then the codes that I input duplicate it but have that re-named file in the code,
    and change the position of the flame?

    hope it makes sense

    It might work, but I'm not sure you can have more than one video per page.

    Otherwise, you can create a new video, but with two flames.
