There are many things you can do with the menu, but I don't think changing the font size is one of them. As makanyane said, the size of the text is controlled by the font, and we have no way of changing that.

With that in mind, are there multiple fonts of various sizes available for use? If so what is the file that lists them & how do we impement the different fonts?

Have you tried the menu_english file? If you can't replace he text with " " in there, you will at least see which internal tag is associated with that text, so you can find it in the .lnt.

    I have a problem again:

I would move and arrange the faction buttons different and not in a line.
But it seems that it only change something when i edit
    <UI piece>CFP_symbol48_1
When i change the x,y-coordinates he move the whole symbols of all factions.
If i give every symbol different locations they are always in a line at this position which i give symbol48_1.

    Where are my fault?

    And another question:
Where i can find in this file the Quotations-Position and the Loading-Bar-Position.

I would be very happy about help

After some tests i think, that the quotations and the loading bar aren´t located in this file.
Maybe thats hardcoded stuff, but i hope, i´m wrong

Loading bar: loading_screen/loading_bar.tga. (needs to be packed to work from a modfolder)
    Quotations: descr_transition_screen.txt and text/quotes.txt

    If that's what you're asking.

    descr_transition_screen.txt
    That i didn´t know, thanks

    loading_bar.tga
This File i know (of course), but it is possible to change the size?
Maybe to 1024x768. Because i think, it is like in the mtw2.lnt file, where i must change the size of UI-Elements in the Menu also.

Edit: Okay, i take a look into the descr_transition_screen.txt, but i seems to be not the file, which i looking for, because you cant change here the position of the quotations. :/

This Entry i find also in the mtw2.lnt File, but this is not the right one.
You can see it, because this:

    <UI object>progress_bar
    <type>art</type>
    <UI region>art
    <page>textures\FE_texture1.tga</page>
    <region>progress_bar</region>
    </UI region>
    </UI object>

    Clearly not progress_bar.tga.
But even when i change there some entry´s, or the according .tga, it seems that nothing change.

There's a chance this is hardcoded, but having another good look won't hurt, I guess.

Silly me, is there a chance to move the pieces in the User Interface when you are in the strat map? Like moving the button for the financial overview?

    Found this in strategy.sd.xml
    FINANCE_BUTTON_IMAGE

    And this in text\strat
    SMT_OPEN_FINANCE_WINDOW

But that hasn't helped me to find where the location in the UI is defined.

    Very much doubt it.

Then here is the actual question: my finance overview button isn't working - no tool tips, no 'ghosting'. I first thought I had messed up the LNT file, but that wasn't the case. The 'end turn' button next to it works fine - hence my hunt were placement of these buttons is defined.

You are using custom UI, I assume? If you use the vanilla one, does the finance button work?
