Hey guys just want to give you's an idea of mine ,,, i am a complete nube at modding i have only modded small things in the game no big stuff,,, i have played every mod out there for rtw and know what sum people can do with there skills,,,,, ok here is my idea

is to create a model of hastati/(any unit) , in groups of two or four like in stead of 1 single person ,, have a group of four to represent 1 person ,,, is this possible

Hmmm,
there are lots of reasons why this isn't a great idea, too many to go to into at the moment.
I guess you'd want more troops on the battlefield but the extra figures would seriously effect how your computer could handle the 3D gfx and would subsequently seriously slow your frame rate. Even if you had super gfx card there are still lots of reason why it wouldn't be a great idea.

Theorhetically, yes. It's been done with chariot horses. The problems are that you'd have to come up with the skeletons and animation files to go with it (a LOT of modding there), and in the game all four hastati would move in sync, like line dancing with swords.


You'd also have the problems that when the unit threw its pila, only one javelin would fly, and when the unit got killed, all four would go down. So it really doesn't make much sense, pardon my saying so.

Still, you CAN do it. Just would you WANT too?
