Campaign Map Banner Colors

How does one change the background color on the Faction banners on the campaign map?

I followed the tutorial on how to change the symbol on these standards but have not been able to find any information on changing the color or over all texture of these banners.

I think it is done via RGB color values (i.e. just text, not an actual image). Open descr_sm_factions.txt and try altering some of the values there and see if that does the trick (note: This will alter all of the colors which associate that faction in game through this file)

The next thing I was going to edit was the faction colors as they appear as they conquer provinces and you gave me that answer as well.
