Wierd computer problem

I'm having this trouble with my computer.

It started yesterday and I have no idea what it is.

So I'm playing battlefield 2, and all the sudden it goes back to my desktop....I'm thinking WTF. So I click on the taskbar thing and I go right back to playing.

This keeps happening. I think it's a problem with the game. Aparently not so. I am playing Mafia and the same thing happens.

It's weird. It's not crashing, because I can click on the thing and I'll go right back to playing. It just keeps bringing me back to my desktop.

Maybe a different program is calling for attention.
My mouse driver does that when the battery is almost flat, really annoying.

Or perhaps you are hitting the Windows button on your keyboard (I used to call it the game crash button) by accident?

everytime I Alt Tab it after it goes to the desktop, I see "internet explorer" next to the game I'm playing, yet nothing ever pops up.

Do you have an Instant Messenger? Mine does it all the time to the point I have to log out of it If I want to play a game for any length of time.

mine kept doing that when I had issues with my graphics card,just updated drivers

Run a spyware-check. Some of those nasty things run Internet Explorer at intervals and that can be what's stealing attention from your gaming experience.
