This should probably have been posted in the arts. Anyways, I'm watching it and loving it. Although most here are Rome-o-philes and say it sucks. Imo, its a great series so far, I love the cast and the acting. I can't wait to see more.
The guy they chose to play king henry looks nothing like the real thing. Also his voice is far to girly
Once more unto the breach, dear friends, once more!
Riiight, because everyone knows that if an actor doesn't have the right colour hair its impossible to enjoy the acting and a good story. What a terrible excuse to hate on an amazing production.
If anything you should complain how they combined Margret and Mary into a single character...
Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
Nothing is every going to be 100% historically accurate. Can't people get past that. It seems to be a major hang up on these boards.
I watch the show but it does depress me how quickly it has degenerated into a period porn (although Rome used a simliar technique at about the same point in the season so I hold out hope that the orgy will not continue to be the main plotline).
The show isn't very good, but the historical inaccuracies are not glaring enough to bother me, minor inaccuracies are the price of fiction, hell, the ancient "historians" that I basically worship intentionally invented "facts" because it was believed for most of human history that it was better to add legend to bring history to life than to keep strictly to the facts at the price of story. (think Livy)

Sounds interesting. The tudors are my favourite Royal House. The fact it contains Elizabeth I, our greatest monarch, in my estimation, adds more interest.
Hey everyone. I started watching the Tudors in the aftermath of the Rome cancellation, which I will never live down. I like it because I am a nerd when it comes to anything historical. Like Rome, I enjoy it because unlike most "historical" dramas, the majority of what happens is historically accurate, ignoring obvious inaccuracies discussed in this thread. I will say though, that like Rome, it is waaaaaaay too oversexed. I know a lot of that was going on and still is, but it seems that every episode uses too much time showing some sex scene when it could be using that time to further develop the story, although I see how the constant sex is a way of doing that. And I will say that Anne Bolyn is looking mighty fine.
I'm watching it...
Latest episode we had a gay sex scene. Rome had gay sex...now tudors has to have gay sex. Why? Nobody knows...I guess to please the Queer As Folk people.
I actually think any sex, gay or straight, is completly pointless and boring and just takes up time in any of these historical dramas.
That show is on now? damnit.
