I can't help but notice that ever P2P program sucks now

Kazaa, Kazaa Lite, Kazaa K++, Morpheus, Limewire...they all suck. I'm trying to search for Dont Fear The Reaper by Blue Oyster Cult, I'm getting nothing. No search works anymore, not for anything. I missed the memo I guess, the memo that said that these generationally iconic p2p filesharing programs no longer work. Is there any one out there that will work? I tried Rhapsody but they require you to pay like $15 every month. Friggin....business people....

If this is against board rules or whatever then just kill this thread and smack me over the head, but I'd like a legit explanation about what happened to these once useful programs. Is it cyber vampires? Its cyber vampires, isn't it?

all limewire gets you is porn.

You type in 'rock concert' in search and all of a suddon you get 12, 13, 14, 15 YEAR OLD GIRLS H@T!!!


Plus it's illegal so it's immoral IMO.

Um, Limewire is good most of the times, it just gets harder to use when you're searching for lesser known songs.

Which is why I switched to torrents. (by the way, try searching (Don't Fear) The Reaper)

yeah limewire spams you with porn for a full minute before actuly listening to ur request, but then all those files are usually .wma, so i reorder the list so i dont have to sift thru em. god dammit i hate that

i like ur taste in music tho

Kazaa has always been bad in all forms.
Morpheus has been bad since it sold itself out to the corporations.

Try Shareaza or BitTorrent.
I still have no problems with Limewire.

I was using limewire but the searches stopped working for me so now I begrudgingly switched to bearshare. I hate bearshare, lots of malware and adware and stuff...but so far its working, dont fear the reaper came up with dozens of hits in a matter of seconds.

just type 'Dont fear the reaper' in the 'all types' category of Limewire.

Try out Soulseek, it's great for "underground"music and it doesn't have any porn

BOC aint rele underground, its just not particularly new. but i have used soulseek and it is good. reccommended also.

I gave up on LimeWire two years ago. Now my music is purchased through iTunes, and the more obscure stuff isn't available on the torrent programs anyway.
