Ok, here's another potentially hard coded limit that I have not seen meantioned anywhere, I ran into it and took to ages to realize that I ran into a hard coded problem.
In the descr_character file, you can only define *30* different entries in one particular agent type (does not include generals / captains, but does include spies / assasins at the least and probably others as well. if you type in the 31st entry it will go ballastic.

If you are talking about entries in descr_rebel_factions: there is no limit of creating, the limit is using them, as you can have only one per region.
That would need modification of the game executable, something you do not want to promote on this site.

max size for .worldterrain and .worldvegetation for settlements = somewhere between 501 nominal (rows and columns) which works and 531 and over which causes CTD on battle load
(am not going to test it to any more detail than that due to the limited usefulness of +/-15 rows past that point and the even more limited number of people actually likely to be interested in the answer)

Is there a max of different units a faction can recruit at 1 time? A recruitment pool max. I run into a CTD after adding more then 7 non ranged cavalry units recruitable to a faction.
