Landchnects and swiss pikemen, Ants in their Pants???

K no joke, do the landchnect and swiss pikemen have ants in their pants? Are they on fire?

K I had 1 unit of both units, with lots of cavalry - including alans, which move very quickly, I had sword infantry, and light spear infantry...

I took the swiss and landchnects off of spearwall form, since it's useless anyways, and took them off gaurd mode, so they could just fight with their swords offensively...

As I marched all my troops, same time, I noticed the landchnects and swiss pikes started out marching my sword and spear infantry...

By ALOT.

I thought at first... "well, they possibly have lighter armour? Still kinda strange they hold large weapons".

Then, you won't believe this, they started out marching my Alan mercenary cavalry!!! I was like "hmmm, that doesn't seem right at all"

I have never in all of total war games seen an infantry unit of any kind out march(not run) but march faster than a cavalry unit, isn't that a little strange??

Why do they walk so fast? Is that a mistake Ca made in editing, or a bug?

Yeah, it's kinda stupid, they need their anims changed. It's supposed to make them better than other pike units, but i can think of pleny of other ways of doing it, +attack for example.

They can run Kirk if you switch off shield wall. But I noticed the same thing yesterday with my Tercios. I zoomed in close in a siege battle and they seemed jumpy and moved extremely quickly. Not sure what to think of it, since it definitely looked odd and it doesn't really improve their combat behaviour since they're constantly fidgeting and still need ages to form that wall.

swiss pikeman are notorious for their abuse of hot chocalate and crystal meth ... hope this helps.
