Now Iraqs gone badly you all want to complain
but I've heard it all before; it's all the same
I know you don't want to hear it; your set in your way
but just listen for five minutes while I have my say

You think that I'm stupid and lazy? It's so confusing
didn't I invent most of the technology you're using?
you think I prey on the weak, that I'm just a vulture
you think I'm like ancient Rome but without the culture

I never seem to get credit for the good I do in the world
even though I'm the one who made sure democracy held
you think I want to dominate the earth and the sky
like Scarface said: "You need me to be the bad guy"

I was defending freedom while you were tucked in beds
I fought against communism and I have no regret
I was spreading capitalism while you buried your heads
I made sure ALL our people would be clothed and fed

Do you think that I like getting involved in your affairs?
I prefer to run my own nation and let others run theirs
My own nation aint perfect, with crime and poverty
so improving my own nation is my first priority.

What about World War Two, don't I get credit for that?
I saved all your skins, so where are my thanks at?
I could have just left Europe to it's own fate
but I didn't, instead I stepped up to the plate

I didn't have to do that, i didn't have to settle no score
I didn't have to send troops to the European theatre of war
I could have fought back the Japs and left you to your fated
demise at the hands of the fascist beast you created

In France's Maginot line they thought defense could be found
Germany looked at it, laughed, and then just went around
come on France, you need to be more clever than that
cos you can't rely on me to always have your back

American troops died to protect France's health
and as for Germany: I saved you from yourself
you say I arrived late but that shows limited vison
my earlier help made UK win the Battle of britain

the way you treated your colonies was kind of sick

The world sees me as a bad guy and holds to that tight
but soon you will all see what a REAL bad guy looks like
I'm not saying I'll turn nasty, that I will be bad
I'm saying China is getting powerful and it's no passing fad.

In 2000 China's annual trade with Africa was worth $10 billion
but now it's $40 billion and still your not fearing them.

Do you realise how the Chinese people are treated?
every day 200 coal miners are with death greeted.
You can criticize me, but at least I'm not on that tip
at least I don't treat my own people like pieces of ****

This is a clear example of an empire-in-progress
China's taking over the world, not that you'd notice
My foreign deals have not been permenent, just rented
but the deals China's making are just unprecedented

Now I can hear the bells toll, they go "ding dong"
me being the only super-power wont last very long
so while China's grip on the world grows strong
just remember one fact: you'll miss me when I'm gone.

China is 'taking over the world' because you thought it was a great idea to pour trillions of dollars into war in the middle east.

You think the rest of the world wants to listen to yet more 'I have never done anything other than the greatest good, and no one appreciates it' self perpetuated propoganda from an American?

Ever stop to think that a trillion dollars spent on schools and hospitals and places of work would do more to bring peace, democracy, and curb terrorism than a bunch of trigger happy youths with no obvious, unified, fatigue wearing enemy to fight?

Ever stop to think that while you are democratic, and your capitalism brings prosperity, it imbues mankind with a complete lack of substance and point to life beyond their own selves? Ever stop to think there is more to life than toys, image, and fathering kids so your own life is not a complete waste?

Ever stop to think that power is a gift, not a right, and that you had your time in the sun, and the chance to leave something fundamental, profound, telling and life changing for the world, and you missed it?

Ever stop to think that every historical act of your nation, like every present act, was an act for the benefit of the USA first, foremost, and above all, regardless of your propoganda, and the rest of the world knows it?

Ever stopped to think we are tired of empty words? Especially from the rich and powerful who like to rub our faces into it, those of us who had nothing to do with the destruction and mistakes of the past, from those who had nothing to do with the successes of the past?

Ever stop to think how sick to the teeth we are of a nation obsessing over its global image while people live and die in abject misery, suffering and squalor, because they had the misfortune to be born?

That 'rap' serves only to drive home the absolute ******** that is this human created and human driven world. Dont cry to the rest of the world about image, unfairness, injustice, lies, hypocracy and falsehoods.

I live in the United Kingdom, why the hell should I, alive right now, find you and your nation worthy of friendship? Because of some past I was never involved in? Because you are 'democratic' and 'strong'? On the side of 'good'? Society in the Western world is the biggest facade of vice, selfishness, dellusion and nihilism that has ever existed. As nation states existing in this current world, we need each other entireally, but does that mean I value anything that you trully stand for?

Your nation is founded upon some of the most admirable principles ever written for a state, but they are just words.

I thought the rap was lame to be honest, don't get me wrong medieval rapper, I've seen some of your other raps, like the ones in the med2 forums... those were really good.

But this one was kinda lacking in skillz lol.

However, the message was beautiful, God bless America, greatest country ever, saved the world from hitler and did countless deeds for europe, asia, and africa...

yeah, in fact, I know what your saying about it not being a quality rap. But the thing is, I never even try to make them good raps, what I try to do instead is to make sure the message, i.e the words themselves, are true. Obviosly, I make sure that it ryhmes, but beyond that I don't really care about how good the flow is.
