Will it ever be possible for me to leave Great Britian?

I am currently in a Casse campaign. I’ve disbanded my one ship unit and have no ships. It seems impossible to build any naval ports in Greater Britain so I’m worried I’ll have to terminate my campaign as I’m stuck. I’ve edited the descr_regions file so I can build these ports but this doesn’t take effect unless I start a new campaign.
So my question is this: How and where can I or can I at all build a naval port in Great Britain?

The town in the south west of Ireland allows the production of ships - you need to conquer the two islands before you can even think about taking on the mainland really.

Aren't u able to recruit mercenary ships? Could be wrong since I haven't played
rtw for a while.

I'm playing as Casse now in fact, and I've just been able to build a military port at Ictis, so there is a place both islands you can build boats.

Ictis can only build a level I military port, which offers a transport-type fleet, but no real combat-worthy units. Those you need to build in Ivernis.

I'm able to build the second level military port at Ictis - is that not supposed to be the case? I was also able to build a large trading harbour at Camulosodae... its description said that it shouldn't be visible, so not sure about that one.

No, I was wrong. Ictis is supposed to get a level two military port. IIRC TA said that the Casse were supposed to get a level III trading harbour as well, but the description and 2D art haven't been sorted out yet.
