Do the Georgians use a Duduk like instrument?

The duduk would capture the spirit of this mod quite well.

Duduk isn't native Georgian music instrument, it became from eastern countrys and Armenia. but Georgian used also native Georgian instrument "Salamuri" (fleit)...

I know, Armenian have also some fine folk duduk musics, lets put them here...

I meant something like the Duduk. Many ancient Armenian objects have similar Georgian counterparts due to the Armenia/Iberia (Caucasian one) diffusion and they were one people at one time. Our cultures are still very similar.

Could you post some links to Salamuri music?

Also, what other countries used the Duduk?

Thank you a lot for those links, but the download site seems to be not working for me. It takes very long to load and behaves rather erratically.

Is there any chance you can upload it to http://www.sendspace.com/ ?

Well, from the .ge I assume it's hosted in Georgia. If you live in Georgia, perhaps it's a hosting site which limits downloaders to Georgia?

Basically what happens when I click the first one is it is that it will say: http://share.boom.ge/redirect.php?er...L_FileNotFound

    And then:

Site redirecting, your requested file is not found. After taking a long time to load.

The second will come up with the download button and a place to enter the 3 number code. I do so, copying the numbers correctly, and hit download. This screen then shows up after awhile of loading:

I click the orange thing, and then it says the service key has expired, and I have to get a new one. The problem is, the site keeps taking so long that by the time it's loaded for me to continue, it's too late.

Ah. I finally got one of the battle (loss) songs. The first song for battle though seems to have an error in the site. Thanks for this. I'll be giving my hand at producing the music file for the Mod if I can.

Edit: Wow. It would really help if you can upload these to sendspace. The speed on my download is reading it'll take 2 hours for 5 megabytes.

It's alright if you can't. I would wait until we see if Mirage or Alpha cannot get a better downloading speed.

Thank you Qarama and Tadzreuli. This music will help a lot with the optional music download for the mod. I am still having problems though Tad. I think it's due to the sites being Georgian and being unable to access them from the West, maybe because of the Georgian scripture or because of bandwith limitations to pcs not in Georgia.

The Music file is separated into cultures. I'd like to see if we can't specify a faction instead of a culture, because that'd give us some extra leeway. If not, there'll be five cultures which group the music:

    Crusader
    East Christian
West Islam (Ayyubid, Abbasid, Zengid-Syria, Rum Turks)
East Islam (Seljuk, Ghaznavid, Ghorid, Khwarezm, Timurid, Mongol?)
    Indian (Rajputs).

Crusader will be Medieval influenced along with some rousing epic tracks. East Christian (Assuming we can get through the current issues with the Georgian site) will be Armenian/Georgian influences, borrowing a few from and giving a few to the KoJ. Are those famous Georgian Monk chantings accurate, Tadzreuli?

West Islam will probably be mostly inspired by music that has strong arabic influences. East Islam will be that which is more Persian or Turkish Steppe. Rajput will likely borrow heavily from East Islam (So far I only have 1 song for them, a singing of a Hindi Mantra).

We'll also be including the Call to Prayer and Christian mass probably as a campaign song. I can't think of another way to impliment them, though I'd love for them to have some sort of strong presence.

For Music, it'll be mostly authentic and traditional. There won't be anything contemporary, except that if it endures heavy scrutiny and judgment, we might go for some more orchestral (That is to say, music that was done with some modern instruments. No pop music or anything like that). In general, the campaign will adhere to traditional, and we might have some flexibility when it comes to battle.

    Ummm Tadzreuli.

I think Ahiga's problem is that server. I can't download them either. We're very interested in Georgian/Caucasian music so we'd like to sample these.

Could you please upload them to this site:

    http://www.sendspace.com/

Those Georgian sites are simply not working for us.

Will new music/sounds be included in the first release?
or, will music sounds be released as an additional add on pack like RTR, IB teams have done for their RTW mods?
For a fast speed internet downloader like me, its not a problem but for those who have dial-up connections its a nightmare downloading massive mods as it is and i suspect Broken Crescent of being such a mod already.

EDIT: Disregard this post, i just reread Ahigas post
