After you build crusade proclaimation, how do you launch a crusade?

Is there a unit like we do in the medieval I total war?

Hi.... how are you?

well if you want to make a crusade you must do This :

1-First you most play has a crusader faction:
Holy Roman Empire
England
France
Sicily
2-You need to build a Crusade Proclamation in a settlement
3- You must raise an army and conquer a island like Malta or Kypros (cyprus) (I never conquer malta only cryprus... the people its hard to control... so if you want to make them to be happy put the taxes low and make crypus the capital and make garrison, after that you must low the taxes and make a Martial Law in the european settlements.
4- Build a Crusade Proclamation in kypros or malta
5- Build an crusader army and take the holy land (its hard because the islam its to strong there, and may cause unrest)
You can build a church but you will need too many time and the settlement people will be unhappy.

I do this, you can do what you want.

after building a crusader army, is there something to do like create a great cross (mtw) or launch crusade (m2tw), or crusade in CTW is just an army walking, whitout specifical sign or banner?

Just march or sail your crusading armies to your chosen target.

My England Campaign. I loaded my fleet of 3 ships with one full stack: This consisted of my faction heir, 4 welsh archers, 2 knights and the rest were (cannot remember what they are called but one can recruit many at one turn) I sailed my fleet to the Med and took Kypros. After this I recruited some mercs to take the place of my dead. We sailed and landed in Jerusalem and placed it under siege for a few turns. after Jerusalem fell I marched north and took Tripoli but could not hold this. I am currently in my first hundred years after the taking of Jerusalem it is stable but every time I take Damascus or Tripoli I have trouble holding them and have to pull out and regroup in Jerusalem. I did give Damascus to France once but they lost it in 2 turns. I am loving this game. I did have to kill off a king that spend most of his life in the Middle east he Converted to Islam and I am trying to role play a Christian Kingdom. I will try Saladin next.

A minimum of geography-knowledge would help
... but also, all win-condition-regions are a little brightened on the map. It is planned though, that we will have the victory-condition-regions diplayed in the faction tab on the small extra-maps.

I did a crusade with the HRE. I just raised a proclomation in Cologne and marched a full stack overland to Antioch. That siege was horrendus, but even more insane was ho;ding onto the city and converting them to Christianity. They revolted so I exterminated them.

Of course this leads to low population which means I needed more reinofrcements from Germany and the cycle was continuous. I finally made Antioch a stable base to conduct operations and recruit Crusader-specific soldiers but it is just too hard to conquer Jerusalem. I got as far as Tripoli but the Fatamids, Seljuk Turks, and Armenians all ganged up on me and succesfully drove me out of the holy land.

Sounds hard ... but it shall be so. The game is planned to end at 1222, so you might have a second chance. And go with the faction-heir for Jerusalem, he will gain the trait 'King of Jerusalem' with a good chance, which has some good properties.

And also important, better provide a crusader-state on Kypros for nearby-reinforcements for the Holy Land crusades ... that should help immense

Btw., which version do you refer on, and what is the chosen difficulty, for my curiosity?
And for example, since 0.95 there is a new crusader-church which should help to calm the according crusader-state a bit better.
