Need Help: Resize without distortion ?

Hi All !

I see some GREAT images here.

I have a question: how do I resize an image without distorting it ? e.g if I want to make a sig 500*150, I have a screenshot 800*300/ How do I resize this without the image going expanded etc ?

If your using photoshop, just hold shift when you resize.

Thx Shaz. I guess CS3 is the best version of Photoshop ?

I just looked on HD and all I have at the mo is Paintshop Pro from years ago.

all the CS series are great. Asyou go along, each had more features. I have CS 2, and thats fine for me.

Erm, you shouldn't use the whole screenshot of 800*600. Make a selection and crop out the areas you don't need. When resizing use the "keep proportions" feature so it doesn't get distorted.

Thanks Ras ! I think I got it figured out. I'm not sure yet, need to crop resize a few to see if I got it right.. Will post back in the other thread if I still have any issues.
