Last time I played was 2.1 ltc version. 1.1 patch.

I really liked it, the diplomacy actually worked, there was a point to alliances, the AI would concede and become a vassal, I could raise my reliability... I could raise my reputation with other factions.

In this version, I cant get alliances to work even if relations are perfect, the stupid computer breaks alliances, suffers no penalty other than excommunication, and then never surrenders unless i give back everything taken which would only allow them to do it again.

On top of this all the bad traits generals pick up are back which would be okay if it was random and rare... unfortunately its predictable.

Its like all the stuff I hated about vanilla somehow got into this "better" version of the game.

So did I miss something? Did my installation screw up? I did the 1.2 patch, and the 2.2 ltc mod.
