Both funny, but I liked Colbert better when he was on Jon Stewart's show!

Colbert He is a funny funny guy and stewart is kinda dry.
Oh, definitely Colbert. The Meta-Free-Phor-All was brilliant.
I don't know who the original, but I know who is the best. He has to be the funniest comedian I have come across in my entire life. I absolutely love his show.
The "flagophile", the "eneagled" one.
@ boofhead
Who is your favourite then?
Colbert - the guy is a witty, sarcastic, on-the-button genius.
Dammit why doesn't More4 get Colbert? We get the Daily show which I rather like so I can't make a comparison. What format is Colbert's show?

There are four votes for Stewart and I'm the only one who posts?

I prefer Stewart over Colbert. Colbert's good, but Stewart just seems to be more savvy. I prefer the Daily Show's format over Colbert too, and some of the correspondents they have are brilliant.
John Oliver, need I say more?
John Oliver is by far the best correspondent since Colbert himself, or maybe Steve Carrell..."Even Stephven" is the best segment they had for a while.
But John Oliver is getting there. The segment he and Larry Wilmore did on the n-word was hilarious.
I'm a Stewart guy. I like the format of the Daily Show better, and the supporting cast is always great. Beyond that, I find Stewart to be better with his self-deprecating humor and horrid but hilarious Bush impressions, and his interview style is much more honest and illuminating.
Man, that one-two combination is one of the things I miss the most when I'm back in Mexico.
While I find Colbert to be a little too full of himself sometimes; the stuff he cranks out are just way too hilarious. And the fact that he got invited to the White House Press Dinner that one year to basically hammer Bush was just priceless. The look on Bush's face showed that he clearly did not understand where Colbert was really coming from with his show.

Greetings, heroes!
Anyone who says they like both Colbert and Stewart are flip-floppers. You can't like both; pick a side, we're at war! My gut tells me that Colbert is better (did you know there are more nerve endings in the gut than in the brain?), so I'm not going to "think" the issue to death. Besides, "Stephen Colbert presents: Stephen Colbert's Alpha Squad 7, a Tek Jansen Adventure" is the greatest novel/animation combination I have ever seen. Now, I need to get to the Canadian border and wave some salmon in the air.
Stay strong, nation!

If we're comparing the old Daily Shows with the Colbert Report, Jon Stewart hands down. But the Daily Show has been declining recently. Still good, but Colbert is now the better of the two.

losing Colbert as lead writer was devasting
I love Colbert's district by district interviews - the good ones are beyond hilarious -
The Word - need i say more - linguistical brilliance, the fact that this week in God is worthless without Colbert on the Daily Show - The Nation Rizes

Colbert is comparable to a God. On the other hand however, Stewart is dry, and overdone. He laughs at all his jokes- even when they aren't funny, and always seems to explain what his correspondents just did, when they were acting. Example: "He thought the thing was on American idol hahaaha" Not funny. Just stupid, why does he bother doing that? He use to be great, but now hes just an annoying guy who sits on your tv screen making the same jokes hes been doing for years, doing his Bush laugh even when hes not talking about Bush, and essentially wastes some time until Colbert comes on.
I was under the impression Johann was pronounced Joe-Han.And also, whoever chastised us for not spelling John Stewarts name right....Jon, John, Jean, and Johann are all the same thing.
