Digital Camcorder.
I have read countless reviews on all the models out there, but it's hard to tell which reviews are biased (ads) and which are legitimate. Plus I lack the technical knowledge to decipher which features are important and which aren't so important.
Basically quality is the most important thing. I know that can include many features that affect that, but I just want raw quality for home videos, family events ect. I'm not a hobby videographer (I don't think that's a word), so the advanced features aren't needed. I don't really need to edit the video it much if at all either.
I have my eyes on the Sony HDR-HC7 purely based on reviews I have found. That might be more than I need, but again I'm looking for quality. It seems most of the better camcorders come in the $900-$1200 range so I am willing to spend that if need be.
Your opinions and suggestions would be appreciated.
