I'm making a list of things that people can reference before they do look at anything about current affairs... kind of a baby of mine for the past few months, thought I'd come here to start it off.
Okay, some quick ones:
"Whenever someone promises 'crazy' promises, it usually means they just want the vote."
"Whenever someone says they have God's will to do something, they are full of **** and you shouldn't follow them"
etc, etc. I want suggestions. Right now the above are just real quick ones that I don't personally like, I've had better ones but they've slipped my mind. Basically what I want are the "common" sense ones, the quotes that you most think of when you look at the current affairs. I've been thinking of making a little red--no sorry, aqua-- book or something for people to carry around and whenever they look at something in the media, they reference this book.
Because I think people are stupid. Disagree or not, most people are sheep and cattle and need something to spur on those extra cells in their brains to realize that everything can't be taken at face value, politicians aren't smiling because "they are making a positive difference", and companies don't say things because they really mean them...
More later, I have to get back to painting an apartment...argh.
