What is it that makes my assertion in the title so often true? I severly doubt that its nature, but it is highly prevaliant in Western Society. Why? I tend to think that its more what society implies on us. What do you think?

I only like blue and dislike pink because I was taught to.

Usually if you're very masculine, and like pink/purple, this means you are a very confident man. You're not compensating. You're you, and that's all you need to be.

However, if you're a slight-of-build dwarf, it might not be the best way to communicate with others.

Colors are always designated meaning... It's like that in nature, and it's like that in society. Usually pink is considered feminine because it is a softer color (a light red). Blue is more distinct. Purple...

Well, I think the pink/blue thing is ingrained into our brains from an early age, so we cant trust our own opinions about those two colors to be objective or unbiased.

the colours are chosen by society, but the behavour is not, males will always link themselves to male symbols, and females will always link themselves to female symobls, society could pick any colour but the sexes would still assoiate with one. and to be honest i dont see the problem with it

Blue is my favourite colour, but i don't mind pink either, i own a pink/purply coloured t-shirt. I don't own any proper pink t-shirts as my skin tone doesn't go well with them.

I wear a lot fo blue, but I also have... sadly only one pinck shirt, and then it has a lot of black as well, I tihnk I'll get some more.

I always remember being one of the first in my age group to get over the pink/blue boy/girl thing, sure I got teased a bit, but I was that much more mature - way better...
