It will be released tommorow.
There are no new faction or new units.
It's more a new release, because it had a lot of effects (grass, skies, UI...) and of course the buildings.

I think you will need a fresh version of RTW... but you can try to install it like a patch... but there are two .pack to deleted before. I advice you read the readme...
Bug fixes ? only for 2D, I don't know anything in programmation...

dl mod yesterday nice models however it becomes a little tedious to just play custom battles i dont mean to undermine your project but u need a campaign or at least historical battles

No, 2.0 is a full version, like 1.1... but it's no released yet, because of some problems regarding the permission to use.
