Re: LTC and the german game version?
The first patch (english) did not work with the german version. I assume the 1.2 patch is english. So, have you tried to run the vanilla unmodded version, updated with 1.2? Are there perhaps the same problems?

Re: LTC and the german game version?
Hi - thanks for the quick reply :-)
as far as i remember the 1.1 patch is region specific :-(
on my first try i installed MTW, than 1.1 for german and than the leaked 1.2 with LTC 2.2 and i experienced the CTD.
The second try i installed a clean MTW, tried to patch it with the english 1.1 patch without any success and than i installed the leaked patch. Whle installing the leaked one i noticed the gametold me it is updating form 1.0 to 1.2 - so the english patch didn't work.
I can play vanilla without any probs and LTC with some factions.
As far as i remember there was a tool ro Rome TW, EB that allowed to check the turns of the AI- Is there something like that for M:TW, too?
In one LTC 2.2 game i treid i got a CTD whaen clicking on my own english army and if i clicked on an enemy scottish army. In other games i got the CTD while the AIs turn.
I think i will do a claen reinstall when i got back from the dentist this afternoon and give it a new try - i will install M:TW and just use the leaked patch fpr pimping and than i 'll add LTC - i hope that'll help.
I'll give feedback when i tested that.
Are there any other players with a german or non-english version experiencing problems like me - with the game i mean ;-)

Re: LTC and the german game version?
Kleitos,
I had the same probleme with the french version. In your Medieval II Total War directory, try replacing the events.dat and events.idx in landstoconquer\data\sounds with the vanilla files (from data\sounds). Works fine for me.

Re: LTC and the german game version?
Hi Saint-Denis,
thanks for the hint. I have had no succes with the reinstall - the CTD still showed up. I'LL give your solution a try - i hope it works for me, too.
Thanks again - i'll give feedback as soon as my wife let me sit at my PC again ;-)
