Need Help with 1.9.8 map problem

I installed 1.9.8 and everything with it seems to work alright and all. I only have two problems and the most obvious one is with the world map. On the sides of the screen ,when regardless of whether looking at purely land or water or both, it cuts off on both sides and shows nothing but water. Whenever I scroll from side to side or up and down or pretty much anywhere the water section (which covers bout 1/5 of the total screen on each side) just follows.

The other problem is the most aggravating which is that when I scroll from side to side, the place where you are supposed to click on a certain 'thing' to bring up information (a city, army, agent,etc.) moves off to the side also. For example if I have the city of London centered on my screen I can click on the pic of the London city and bring up build info,etc. That all and fine. But when I scroll left the text "London" (along with anything else 'clickable' on screen) moves right, out of line with the city.

Are these known issues or is there something in paticular that I need to do to fix it.
1.8 didnt have these problems. This only occured once i installed 1.9.8 over it.

I've never heard of such a strange thing.

It sounds like your install may be corrupt. Try removing The_Long_Road directory and reinstalling 1.9.8. If that doesn't work, I'd try reinstalling MTW2.

You Alt+tab out of the game didnt ya! Well just delete the Map.rwm to be sure and restart the game.

I dunno. I alt-tab all the time. Works fine for me.

Its an random bug
