Leela finds out the truth about her parents:
Fry and his dog:
Fry's dog waiting for him all those years. It's so sad I can barely watch that one anymore hehe.
The dog episode.
I can't watch it at all.
My dog died the same day when I saw that episdoe for the first time.
So that episode just brings out very bad memories.
its just too bad all sense of context is lost since about 25 minutes of both episodes have been cut out...
but yeah, Jurassic Bark (the dog one) is sadder.
Yeah, the dog one is sadder...

The dog one easily, hell damn thing made my daughter cry. The one where Fry would have discovered that one thing that would have made Leia love him when they were skipping thru time was great too as was the opera one with the Robot Devil. Really sad because both show Fry really has something deep in him in but just couldnt get it out and when chance came that he could both were denied him, the devil one by his own "sacrifice" to save Leia from marrying the Robot Devil. I still say out of all the animation series out there, Family Guy, South Park even the Simpsons that Futurama is without a doubt the best which makes it so wrong that its the one that was treated like trash by Fox. The series was funny as hell, actually pretty damn witty and most of the characters didnt feel like one shot gag props except for the Tiny Tim Bot![]()
Yeah the dog one was really sad. I don't get why it's gone, it was way more creative than most of the shows then and today.
I still watch it every so often.
Futurama will be back in the future (2008)
The dog one is sadder.
It has been surmised, that perhaps, my lord had become like a wild animal that had been kept too long. Perhaps, but whatever... freedom... so long an unremembered dream, was his.
The children of Doom...Doom's children. They told my lord the way to the mountain of power. They told him to throw down his sword and return to the earth...HA!! time enough for the earth in the grave.
What kind of poll is this? Two options? I can think of half-a-dozen really touching moments in Futurama off the top of my head.
The most touching moment in Futurama is in 'Love and Rocket', the one where Fry is trying to find the candy-heart with right words to express his love for Leela. He's examining and eating them from a zero-G cluster while she's intent on shutting off the Planet Express ship's computer - then she doesn't pay attention to Fry when he's trying to warn that her space-suit's O2 is running out. He attaches his O2 to her valve and after the air-supply is switched back on in the cabin she finds he's not breathing and has sacrificed himself for her. She gives him CPR and the last chest-push that resuscitates him ejects a candy-heart out of his throat right onto her face - and she reads 'U-Leave-Me-Breathless'.
Or else, alternatively, it's the very end of 'The Robot Devil has Idle Hands', when she's alone in the opera-house and says she wants to hear the pitiful end of his incompetently unskilled holophonor performance about her - and he creates a clunky awful noise and a cartoony, pencil-sketched image of the two of them meeting, kissing and then walking off into the distance holding hands, and the noise is gradually replaced by a soothing, eerie tinkly noise that represents what's going inside Fry's soul.
BTW - have you heard the REST of that 'Baby Lovechild' song as Leela is being secretly cared for all her life? I was pleased by the drippiness of it enough from watching the episode that I got it over the internet. It's terrible. The song suddenly jars into a different gear and has a tannoy-speaker sound shouting 'ATTENTION ADULTS! ATTENTION ADULTS!'.

The dog episode. Fry had no idea how happy the dog would have been to see him again.
I miss Futurama. Why did Fox decide to cancel it? That show had WIT.
Kif: Captain, may I have a word with you?
Zapp Brannigan: No.
Kif: It's an emergency, sir.
Zapp Brannigan: Come back when it's a catastrophe. *BOOM* Oh, very well.
They played that episode tonight, I was sad.![]()
Well, I'm the only one that matters, so I win! Yay!
the Dog Part.
An interesting thing i have noticed; so pay attention!
most U.S. comedeys spend time having a loverly touching moment inwhich everyone cries etc etc
in British comedy this never happens. its just relentless lulz (for the want of a better term)
