All the latest from LuciferHawk look good but I like most the screens from posts 3447 and 3448: lightness vs gloominess with appropriate factions. The screenshots in 3447 look almost like paintings.
By the way, Caudillo's Byzantines, though lovely in a sense, look around 6-7thC overall in attire, probably earlier in emblems but wearing 9th C cavalry helmets (while the cavalry wears feathers, which I do not think there is any historical depiction of). While the writing on the banner in post #3438 is in 21st century modern Greek probably by Google translate. In fact, I googled the phrase in Greek and got back exactly 0 hits. Any random words from a Greek Bible would be preferred.
The CBUR units had more of the look of the Middle Ages.
A medieval example (similar actually to the original SS units, which seem historically correct) http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedi...t_Thessaly.JPG

Your screens are simply amazing! Do you set them up in custom battles or just try and snap some good ones while on campaign?
They are both, from campaign and custom battles, but not for the purpose of making screens
Here are another two -not that good- which are from my Khwarazmian Campaign

Fixed that over-bloom problem and give you few before | after environment picture:
(I am sorry about the grain, you wont notice ingame and its fixing flat textures and color depth!!)

Please tell me if I do something wrong but I want to keep my posts in this thread so I am sorry but here are 4 screens for TATW.
I am sorry!!

Your screens are very nice, especially when you split the image in half and then compare.
Yeah nice screens, but there really is no point posting other mods screenies to threads they don't belong, pretty much every mod has its own thread for that, and for a reason. It might seem ok "since I'm only one doing it just for this time", but before you know if that catches up, it is a off-topic spam-fest.
About the settings, I really like the contrast changes, but there is really weird grainy filter around everything. Looks similar what Mass Effect 1 had by default.![]()
You are right.
I tried to make a screen to show the difference between
grain | no grain | vanilla
but on most screens you cant really see the difference between
grain | no grain.
In game you will notice grain when there are textures with no detail or low color depth
and thats where grain is actually helpful to cover the weak detail.
It is true that some people hate grain. I do like it in most cases to forget about the weak detail but I will for sure have a version with no or less grain for those who dont.
The level of grain I added was defined of when I couldnt see the line between two colors in the sky anymore, cause thats something that really annoyed me:
Of course I can turn it down more.
