The first battle of Vibius Julius

Ave Generals

Ours orders came in today,
and to think that i Vibius Julius was just looking forward to two weeks in rome herself,
but the times we live in will not allow any roman general to become complaicent in there duty`s.
Men we have to save genua as an army of gauls are moving to take genua and this we cannot,
allow,so are you with me we fight we overcome and we destroy our enemy`s.
We will take the high ground,we will make it hard for these hairy mad scum they are not fit to,
fight any roman soldier even the plebs are greater than any barbarian.
They have about a thousand men more ha is this all they bring 4000 men they should have brought more,
So ready yourselfs and let the gods watch over us all for tonight we dine with the knowledge that the gauls,
are cold in the ground and can trouble us no more.
It took two days of marching to get here from arretium and we stand on the border of arretium and genua,
in the hills,with the advantage of more men i had to choose a battle ground that was easily defended,
and that i found between the hills and if they come straite for us then they will come were i want them.
I will funnel them up and in to my center line,there the hastati can hold then for a while,
while my horse can go left and watch that flank.
Then the battle began i was sure by the time they reached our lines they would be useless as they were tired,
from the march up the hill they faught well and bravely none the less,the gauls are a race of hardend people.
It was a long battle hard to but we routed and killed nerly all of them and we one a heroic victory which is,
good for the mens morale.
We will stay and keep an eye on those gauls,and this is a great place to keep them in check i have the terrain,
and better soldiers.
Until the next battle go with the gods for the glory of rome and the empire

Well,it seems Vibius teached the gauls a lesson

.I think Maglocunus is a shame to go back to gaul

nice! if only u could record vids of ur battles in the campaign without having to use fraps..... is there a way to enable the record feature in the campaign?

Ok after searching for a good 15 minutes i found out it is completely impossible to record campaign battles without using fraps

i tried ur drawing tactics and formation on the same tile of the map as you silly old sod and it worked amazingly!!!

i only lost 70 roman and killed about 3,500 gauls!

i would like to post a few screenies that i took but i dont know where to find them in rtw..... and do i use html to put them in a post??
