Default did the AA get its main boost from bush?

well we have plenty of issues here, but lets get to the point and this is aimed at the rest of the world.

did your resentment for american, and probably more specifically with american politics and globalization start with the current adminstration. cause maybe im just dreaming, but it seemed as though under clinton we were still doing pretty good as far as international relations and good will.

cause the resentment seems to be growing here in the states about being resented.

Scheuch, once again, the only anti-americanism in good supply on this forum is from americans whining about anti-americanism.

    What does AA stand for?

I think Bush was a massive boost for Anti America feelings. Over here AA feelings have been growing.

And anti-Americanism stands for "loving America, but not liking the current administration".

I was treated better in Europe than in most of the USA, and I live here. I think most anti-Americanism is just intellectual laziness, I mean, what can be easier, but seriously the stupid people everywhere always find something to not understand and get mad about.

i dont think Shaba Wangy could be anymore wrong on that. Not questioning motives and actions is what leads to unnecessary things like Iraq. I think intellectual laziness leads you be one of the 33% of Americans who approve of our current president, and the even smaller number of people abroad do. I would agree with the people who say that they love america but hate our current administration.

Hmm. Read my post again. Did I say AA was wrong? Did I say it wasn't legitimate? NO, I did not. I have no idea way you thought that from my post I condoned "Not questioning motives and actions".

I merely pointed that the majority of people either seem to love it or think its the pits - and often reach both those erroneous conclusions by NOT thinking enough, and going with the pack. Or perhaps being a bit reactionary, maybe. and not reading thoroughly and charitably?

I think that Alcholism was always there but it had no direction, Bush just provided an easy target and a good focus for it.

33% is pretty much as low as a President's approval rating will ever go. Third of voters will always be hardcore die hard Republican or Democrat.

i would agree that the 33% are diehard but not republicans but evangelicals who believe Bush was sent from God to lead us (which is ****ing nuts), but i would classify them, generally as terrorists and morons who are very selective about their christianity

I should hope that those sort of people are a tiny proportion of evangelicals.
