Any teaks or changes to the Mongol faction on 2.1?

Playing as Russia in version 2.1 , setting VH/H and I am having a hellish time with a combination of the Mongol horde on one side, and a very strong Polish Nation on the other.

My previous experience with the Mongols playing Vanilla and RTJ were challenging enough with around 7 stacks appearing, but they seem even stronger numerically to me in LTC. My lands are being overrun with at the last count, ten full stacks of Mongols, they briefly captured Kiev but foolishly left it weakly garrisoned so I was able to promptly boot them out.

The Mongols were not in a city long enough to recruit any significant number of new units, so where have these addition stacks came from? Is there a set limit or is it random the number of stacks created when the Invasion is triggered?

Not complaining BTW, I am enjoying the fight, my chances of winning the campaign are remote, I am looking at survival as my goal. Almost playing in a Role Play mode desperatly trying to save my people from a fate worse than death.

The Mongols come in 3 waves, so for the beginning part of their invasion stacks will just appear on the campaign map for them enar where they appear on the map.
