    Default Mongols

    couple of problems Ihave seen witht he mongls,

    1 they never have ther infamous seige equipment tey are known for, they are known for bringing to bear multiple trebuchets to tear down fortifications m, I mena how else could tey have taken any of the castles of eastern europe.

    2nd they come into play in Iraq and bypas bahgdad or mosul and make a Bee line for jerusalem, ( generally at the same time I'm trying to crusdae for it) should't they be trying to take most of the black sea area first then then branching out to europe and the middle east?

    Well incase you haven't seen.The mongols have a terrible weapon called rocket launcher.It turns the walls into a pile of burning stone very quickly and also it devastates the enemy,inflicting them heavy casualties.
    The invasion path that the Mongols take depends on where they enter the map:

    1-Sarkel-They head into the Russia and from there into Poland,Hungary(Europe)
    2-Baghdad-They had for middle-east Jerusalem,Acre,Alexandria.
    3-Erevan-They head towards Anatolia and then Eastern Europe.

    Once in your campaign the event mongol invasion happens,the place they will spawn will never be changed in that campaign you play no matter how many times you reload.

    is there a way to change these locations/triggers? I've been tooling arround the mod forums but I haven't seen exactly which files are used for this..

    I wish someone would index what is where in the mod section .

    The file you need to edit is the "campaign_script.txt"

    located in Programfiles/SEGA/medieval II total war/data/world/maps/campaign/imperial_campaign directory.

    Make sure you backup the file before you mess with it.

    Find the following lines at the top of the campaignscript file:

    declare_counter Opened_Faction_Overview_Scroll
    declare_counter Opened_Settlement_Scroll
    declare_counter mongols_sarkel
    declare_counter mongols_yerevan
    declare_counter mongols_baghdad

    declare_counter timurids_sarkel
    declare_counter timurids_yerevan
    declare_counter timurids_baghdad

    Delete the lines in black.Logically this should remove the other 2 alternative spawning points of the mongols.Save and exit the file,BE WARNED though you may get CTD since I haven't tried this myself.Make sure you back up the file.

    I see that your mod has a few of the features I have been looking for,

    since Ihave your attention,
    Is there a way to modify the invasion paths that these triggers hit? so that out of bahgdad the mongols went north instead of west( and without removing that option)

    LOL get them to spawn at Inverness
