Default Suggestions for a Perfect Mod

What else do you want to be included in the final version of HSC when ready?
or Everything You Always Wanted to see in the downloadable version but were afraid to suggest!

are you a moderator or is this just a question?

If this is just a question, I think that really MANY scripts should be included. I like to read them (like in FR-RE: TFT etc...), just every turn the advisor popping up and telling you what happened/ giving you missions.

If I would think of something else, my mind says to myself: HARDCORED!!!
lol so my final fantasies...are all damn hardcored.

    Cheers,

    Quinctius.

I think the mod (judging from the previews i've seen) is very promissing and historically accurate .But i'll speak more extensively and surely after the first download..

Hmmm..well, i want bloody hoplite battles!A mod full of spilled blood (spartan as preference ) and well animated violence! You may say "hey man,we are talking about strategy and not about splatter films!"Yes, but, i think we loved RTW because of its fantastic graphics and animation as well as its strategic depth and we are not children ( most of us).Remember also that the hoplite conflicts in antiquity were actually bloody "sport events"suitable only for real men. So,i choose a bloodthirsty Hegemonia, my friend! That's what i like to see if it's possible..And finally a bloodthirsty suggestion to the honorable team..You can releash 2 versions. An X-rated -adult only- version for serious warbeasts and experienced butchers like me and a kindergarten version for my kids.Be sure they'll love it!
Ok i promise to lock my kids in the loft when i play!

    @ Sparaba

Dude, you got children? No offense, man... but if I was you... I would also lock them off while I use ketchup for my lunch...

For some reason you remind me of a saying that I once red on a t-shirt... "never eat anything that canīt run away"... lol
"Most people are like a leaf which is blown and turning around through the air,and wavers, and tumbles to the ground.
But others, a few, are like stars, they go on a fixed course, no wind reaches them, in themselves they have their law and their course."

i would like to see the units moving slower on the battlemap - like in EB or XGM. I couldn't find info on the subject arround, only that the gameplay is still like in vanilla RTW. Almost forgot, i would actually really like to get my hands on the mod somwhere in the forseable future

-Proper overarm grip .....and DUST.......LOTS of dust when Hoplites clash.
I want my soldiers to drown in dust when they march or fight ......like in real wars.

-And if it's possible .....instead of basic soldier texture it would be nice to see bloody dead soldiers. Like in blood mod...it's done by changing texture when soldier falls to the ground.

-Much improved diplomacy, but i think you already done that

Members of the HCS modding team,Nation of HCS and HCS believers,I'm speaking on behalf of the common HCS people!

Gentlemen, please, releash this wonderful mod before summer and crush the antagonism! Now you can!Now you are the best!Tomorrow who knows? The things change rapidly..The summer ,generally, is a relatively dead period for indoor games-even for the best like HCS- and new presentations.Give happiness,a late christmass or easter present to the masses of your patient -for billions of years!- and faithful supporters. I can already predict your mechanical answers "It will be ready sometime in the future,we want to releash something very good or we have our jobs, our lives, our girls, our families, our pets our whatever".We too!We too..and the wish to present a masterpiece is an excellent motive, indeed. But we'll eventually find -despite our personal work activities-the time to play fanatically your-our-mod and consequently honor your effort. After all, there is no need, initially,to be a absolutely perfect work!It will be ,easily, later with the add of suitable patches.
Generals! The time for brave decisions has come!

--ps.I think it is a good idea the openning of a special HCS General Stuff thread. There, you can inform us about the exact stage-in the form of percentage %- of mod development, the problems you confront, the needs you have and so on. Thanks for listening.

    With respect and honor,
His Excellency The President of WOHFAD (World Organization of Hegemonia Funs Against Delay)

It will be ready when it is ready and when it no longer "feels" like playing vanilla rome that is totally unacceptable for us.

You say it doesnt have to be perfect and this is true but if we released something that was boring or jsut vanilla with shiney units how many fans would that loose us. Personally id rather not risk it

and a progress thread is NOT a good idea trust me on this we have tried and it doesnt work.

Loosing fans isn't the point releasing an incomplete mod would just be immoral

I suggested this on the sticky suggestoins forum, but no one has replied in 8 days or something like that, but what about having historical battles in the campaign via scripts. For example, a script would trigger in *blank* year for the battle of *blank*. Then there would be different outcomes based on the victor of the battle. The victor would have some form of a positive effect like territory, money, or troops (similiar to senate missions in vanilla) while the loser would lose money or territory. (the RTR team is doing something similiar to this and i think EB may be as well)
