Yes I play with green markers for comfort but I removed bunners as you suggest. As for my system - it`s old and repaired mashin with ATIx1300 cards. But Chivalry textures have excellent quality so everyone can makes nice pictures.

I had a ATI 1950pro card a few months ago, and that made only slightly better pics than you have, but is actually a few numbers above the 1300 chip. The ATI chips aren't bad at all. However i changed recently back to an actual Nvidia card due to EmpireTW, and as for a tad better driver support by Nvidia. But this isn't promotion for Nvidia, ATI makes superbe graphic chips as well.

If you want to see the pics, copy the pic's URL, paste them in your browser and add ":" after "http".
The castles you see in the pic are, like DN said, donjons. They are the smaller form of castles; there's also a larger one with a keep, stone wall (with walkway), towers and more buildings inside the courtyard proper.

Well update on my empire. The year is 1238 A.D. The Kingdom of England control's Whales, Scotland, Ireland, the Holy Roman Empire, Northern Italy and currently has land holdings in most of France, Scandinavia, and the Middle East.
I am currently in a land war with France who's only two province's are along the Mediterranean, War with the Danes is a side show seeing limited men and resources from the crown, and needs to take Corsica from the Italian City States. During this time, the English King ordered a Crusade to capture Jerusalem. With a few failed attempts to capture the city due to limited siege equipment, a set battle takes place outside of the city, destroying the defending Saracens and the relief column led by Saladin. Two years after the capture of Jerusalem, a Saracen army lays siege to the holy city itself. The battle looked extremely grim for the English defenders but however, a battle for the city center turns the tide ending with a massive failed attack

The heroic defense of the city was short lived however, another Saracen army attacked and over-ran the defense's of the city, slaughtering the city inhabitants along with the defenders.
