Default 7900 GT, need help on this.

About a month ago I bought a 7900 GT from an ebay store. It was ridiculously cheap so I couldn't pass it up, however it was from a company called Forsa that i heard used to be risky but is pretty decent now.

So I got this thing in the mail and as soon as I take it out of the anti-static package a capacitor falls off and I noticed another one is half-way off as well. To make a long story short the ebay "store" closed so I couldn't return it there and Forsa's RMA email has been down perpetually since I bought it.

Anyone know of any type of place that solders on capacitors? I've been to a local computer store, a tv repairshop neither would do it and neither could recommend anyone......

You get what you pay for.
Simple as that.. I would reccomend non-OEM and retail =)

Have you thought of soldering it on yourself? Soldering is fairly easy once you get the hang of it. Here quick intro into soldering if your interested...

    How to Solder

Search through google, I'm sure theres a guide or some good info on how to DIY.

Still though DIY could mean problems even if you just solder it back on. I wouldnt try it.

Agreed, your best chance is to just solder it on your self.

That's why I never buy computer stuff from eBay.

By the sounds of it he isn't getting his money back from the seller, so what's he got to loose?

Are they sufface mounted components? because thats makes it a million times harder to solder and you risk damaging the pcb if you don't know what your doing. Personally i recmmend you keep trying to get through to forsa before you try this. I can guarentee you they will not give you a refund if you try to manully and make a pigs ear of it.
