    Default Imperial Palace

    OK, so I finally got one of my cities (Patavium) up to the population level needed for an Imperial Palace... you can imagine my glee as thoughts of powerful Republican legions dance through my head! Then, when I open up the city's build screen, my face drops... there is no palace avaliable to build! Am I missing something? Do I have to build another building to unlock the palace? Anyone have any tips? Is this a bug or is there something else I need to do?

    You need the best market building available, I think the Great Forum. Once you have that then you can start building the Imperial palace. The palace takes 20 turns by the way (5 years in SPQR)

    yeah you need to build the forum first before you can build the palace
