SpaceUnion You get them one turn after there is the warning about the timurids invasion so I suppose that makes the year 1360 or 1362..

And for the German Knights you need to have built the last upgrade of the stables...

Oh, damn that's a while away. I'm still heavily entrenched in a war with Milan (just used one stack to wipe out 4+ of theirs and still captured a crucial castle hehe but now they have 8 more stacks coming my way). All in all, a very entertaining campaign Zeph, good job (even if the idea of Milan being a world superpower isn't all that great but meh I'll fix that in my next campaign).

I know what you mean and remember your posts about how the factions jumped (!) on each other early... That's also something I like in the medieval ages especially between barons and counts,feudal lords,in Europe specifically waging war was as frequent and as casual as going to a picnic...

Don't know, probably 18-20. I just captured Metz and its a fully developed castle so its much needed for supplying troops in the west. Milan has northern Italy, all of France, and parts of Spain under its belt. I've managed to wrestle away northeastern France and now Metz from Milan. They just keep pushing out stack after stack (with damn artillery in them). But now I"m the largest faction and I'm the richest. So I'm financing large amounts of troops in that direction while keeping two full stacks in the east in Russia on standby waiting for any possible Mongol incursion after I lost one of my provinces to them. But they have been sitting idly for so long I'm thinking of taking those stacks and putting them to use on the western front. And since I just captured Metz, it won't be putting any troops out for a couple of turns and my stack is exhausted now (>10 units and not all full) and with 8 Milan stacks coming down I'm going to have to fight like hell, though, I have a 3/4ths stack nearby in a city I captured so I'll use that too.

Gah... 18-20 regions when I have that much province I simply get confused,really I mean it..At What difficulty level are you playing ? It seems the factions built considerable amount of troops... :hmmm:

Once I had a very weird dream... In my dream I was in hell,but hell looked like a giant factory with hundreds of stories(floors) and thousands of halls and rooms in each story.. Stories that kept perpetually going deeper and deeper,going down there were folks(humans) there whom were half-naked (nothing on their tops) there were no women...

I wanted to climb the stories and go up... I was really distressed.So in the dream I kept going up the stories after a while I stopped to catch my breath went outside(to a balcony) to check how many stories I climbed,but at that time I realized although I went up the floors,actually now I just got down more! I was shocked then I explained this to a person there,

He gazed at me and said : "This is hell the more you try to go up,the more you go down,there is no leaving this place..." And then I woke up...

I'm playing M/M. And yes Milan has tons of troops if thats what you mean. They have the largest army in the world even after I have this massive arms buildup. Its a tough fight but its really fun actually. Sure the AI can't match me on the tactical battlefield but they make up with numbers.

M/M is also the regular difficulty level that I play my campaigns at... And in medium usually milan owns...

Sometimes I win battles when largely outnumbered,but I don't like large battles much I get confused and usually panick

I can fight large battles but I hate fighting them because there are so many units and it does get confusing. That's why this Teutonic campaign is my last campaign with Huge unit sizes. I'm going back to normal. Much more managable and enjoyable if you ask me.

That's also my point why I don't enjoy large battles,you can't coordinate your army too easily and can not prevent considerable amount of casualties(at least I can't) also you can't zoom in and enjoy the battle's atmosphere,since you need to give many orders...

I use the unitsize "large" ... Btw I posted a teutonic knight with a different horn model,that we could use as the third set,check out the usual thread and tell me what you think...
