Default A Blind Boy Who Could 'See' Normally

Yeah saw this a while back in physics class. Kid can echo locate. It is pretty damn cool. I tried to click and hear stuff but it doesn't work for me lol.

There's a kid in my school who does the same thing.
You need very finely tuned ears for that... having no sight means your brain can focus on other things easier, like sound. Your hearing becomes improved if you use it a lot.

Yeah is your friend blind so his other senses become heightened or can I practice echo location too?

Am I the only one that thought, Daredevil?

    That is cool.

waw... amazing!!! .... i can ...hardly believe he can use sound in real world... but playing video games?... i am a bit sceptic about this (is he any good or is he just pushing buttons? ... sound doesn't bounce from TV or aminated objects...)... anyway if it is true all what they say ... then... it really is amazing!

Many blind kids play video games.
They just listen to the game sounds to judge if what they do is good or bad.
My mom knew a blind kid who beat Super Mario Bros.

It doesn't work with every game of course, blind people won't be able to play the TW series of games for example.
The game you saw in the video looked more like random bashing on buttons (usually the best strategy in fighting type games anyways).

    Oh, and btw: FREAK!

They said he could do anything! I know something he can't do - write. Enough said. Even his echo hearing wont help him recognize the shape of written letters. I wonder if he could feel it though :hm:

Wow, that's impressive! Isn't echolocation used by bats as well? I had no idea people could do it.

Writing with your eyes closed is easy! Even I can do that, and I'm not blind. The only problem is starting on a new line without writing through your previous writings.

That is one thing about the African-American race that I truly found astonishing and extremely respectable when I moved here from Finland. I found that African-American families never sheilded their kids from anything... they started raising them to be adults from the day they were born... That is why they are truly the dominant race. They can conquer any feild.

seriously. The kid has heightened senses and learned to echo locate. That means his race is the master race. Much like how dolphins are the master race of the sea. Seig heil!!!

He can write, but there's no way he could read. Maybe if it were typewritten or hand-written he could make out faint indentations (although I'll believe that when I see it . . . not that I'm quite so skeptical after seeing this video), but no way can he figure out something printed with an inkjet or whatever. At least, I couldn't believe that . . . not that I would have believed this either . . . maybe he could tell by the weight or something, heh.
