I have noticed people with alot of performance issues + higher specced to mine. So i can only conclude that this guide that i used over a year ago is giving me the edge.

All the backups, system restore stuff..etc gives me headaches, and it says I can only use it if I do the backups, system restore..etc and even reinstall windows...too much stuff for 2 FPS.

A performance thread can't stand on its own without mention of the exceptional low-res city textures (which did not seem to impact fps until I created a separate M2TW install for Anno Domini...)

I would like to emphasise here - if nothing else, defrag

You'll be surprised at how quickly things load when the game doesn't have to jump all over the hdd platter in order to do so :grin2:

As standard, i always defrag before and after a new installation.

I defrag every day, as well as every time I copy, or move large quantities of data, or unpack M2TW, or stuff like that.

I really reccomend that everyone adjust their Virtual Memory like the guide says.
