Salam,
I just felt like sharing with all of you a little piece of wisdom. Surely habitual forumers would like to read a topic about something different than the eternal discussion about the "existence of God".
The following is a treatise by Ibn Hazm al-Andalusi, a(nother) spanish muslim scholar that lived under the turbulent times following the demise of the Caliphate of Cordoba. This treatise, about Morals and Behaviour, is one of his most famous works, along with the "Dove's Necklace", one of the foremost books on love and its manifestations Islamic thought has ever begotten.
Morals and behaviour are two subjects in which importance one could not insist enough. In fact, as the reader will hopefully understand, if we all took seriously this moral guidelines, the world would be a better place to live in. Now, how can we make the world a better place? Reading and reflection can make us find an answer.
This treatise is specially suited for theists, due to its tone, but surely atheists can benefit of it too, and that is precisely my intention. Knowledge and wisdom should be accessible to everyone. After all, the best tool for misunderstandings is ignorance.
You can find the entire treatise (about 50 pages, a quick read) here:

Any comments are of course welcome. I would like these thread to be also a discussion on morals, in despite of the apparent relativeness of such a concept.
And may everyone who read this benefit of our shared wisdom.
